Summer Camp
Our summer camp is a unique and enriching experience designed to make the most of the summer break for young learners. Our program revolves around a blend of play-based learning, small class sizes, and engaging, theme-based one-week programming.
We offer summer programming in June, July and August. We offer five-day programs and three-day programs. Our programs run from 9am to 12pm. Students will enjoy a snack brought from home.
Each day students will experience academic learning which includes fine motor skills, letter recognition, phonics, number recognition, STEM, basic math skills, handwriting, read aloud time, english language arts, and individualized learning opportunities. Your student will also experience outdoor/nature learning, messy art projects, games, and music/movement activities. We include social/emotional and character building (fruits of the spirit) activities/lessons.
PROGRAM LOCATION: Mayflower Church - 2345 Robinson RD SE | Grand Rapids, MI 49506
AGES ACCEPTED: 3 through 6 years. Children must also be independent bathroom users on our adult sized toilet. Pull-ups are not allowed. Child must turn 3 prior to the first day of programming. We require at least 4 enrolled students to run a program.
TUITION: $250.00 for a 5-day week program and $150 for a 3-day week program. Payment is due 7 days prior to camp week. In the event that you need to change a session, Joyful Learning School must be given 14 days notice prior to camp starting. In the event you need to cancel your enrollment, Joyful Learning School must be given 14 days notice to receive a full-refund.

Tutoring
Our tutoring program is designed to support students ages 4-10 in the learning environment they are currently in; including but not limited to, traditional school, homeschool or virtual school. This one-on-one approach caters to the individual learning journey of each student. We offer tutoring year-round. Sessions are typically held in 30, 45, or 60 minute increments.
PROGRAM LOCATION: Locations to be determined with each individual family.
INVESTMENT: $60/hour for students who desire one-on-one private, individualized instruction and custom lessons created by Joyful Learning School. $45/hour for students who bring their own work.

Miss Susie
Miss Susie has a Masters in the Art of Education and has certifications in K-12 regular education and K-8 Spanish education. She studied at Denison University and Aquinas College.
Susie has taught many different ages including 8 years as a 2nd grade teacher in Forest Hills and 1 year as a kindergarten teacher in Forest Hills. She has taught all ages of preschool with over 15 years of experience with 3-6-year-olds. She currently teaches Young Fives at a local accredited preschool in East Grand Rapids.
Susie and her husband have four teenage boys and try to keep up with the grocery shortage in the house. Susie also runs her own custom sugar cookie business, Susie Q Sweets.
Miss Erica
Miss Erica graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She worked in children’s ministry at a local church. For the last 8 years, Erica has taught at a local accredited preschool in East Grand Rapids. She currently teaches Young Fives alongside Miss Susie.
Erica and her husband have three boys ranging in ages 5-17 and two handsome pugs. On the side, Erica creates and sells educational products and lessons for teachers to use in their classrooms.
